About Indraprastha Gas
Indraprastha Gas Limited provides natural gas for automobile, domestic, and commercial use in Delhi, India. The company is a joint venture of GAIL (India) Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, and the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)
The company is the supplier of CNG to the automotive sector in the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT of Delhi). As of March 31, 2004, the total number of CNG stations was 120, which included 56 mother stations, 27 online stations, 33 daughter booster stations and 4 daughter stations. With the commissioning of the above, the compression capacity was 16.13 Lakh Kg/day in March 2004. As on June 30, 2004 the company had commissioned 122 stations with a total compression capacity of 16.48 Lakh kg/day catering to approximately 91,000 vehicles.
Piped natural Gas (PNG)
The company also markets and distributes PNG for domestic and commercial users in NCT of Delhi. It has provided PNG connections to approximately 12,910 domestic, 93 small commercial and 17 major commercial customers as of March 31, 2004. PNG was supplied to the domestic and commercial sectors in the areas of Kaka Nagar, Bapa Nagar, Pandara Road, Pandara Park, Sunder Nagar and Sujan Singh Park.
History
Indraprastha Gas Limited was incorporated in 1998.
