Medical Business: Includes gastrointestinal endoscopes, surgical endoscopes, endotherapy devices, and ultrasound endoscopes. The company provides lineup of solutions for early diagnosis, centered on gastrointestinal endoscopes, and minimally invasive therapy, primarily through endotherapy devices and surgical devices.
Scientific Solutions Business: Includes biological microscopes, industrial microscopes, industrial endoscopes, and non-destructive testing equipment.
Imaging Business: Includes digital cameras, and voice recorders.
Others: Includes biomedical materials and system development.
Strategy
The key elements of the company’s strategy are to secure strong market leader position in gastrointestinal endoscope business and improve profitability through selection and concentration; expand business in respiratory, reprocessing, endoscopic ultrasound, capsule endoscopy, and IT Fields; realize business growth in emerging markets; and expand endotherapy device business (single-use devices).
