Urban Infrastructure and Environmental Products Company

Urban Infrastructure and Environmental Products Company (UIEP) activities are focused around the Water Environment Solutions Business. UIEP provides PVC pipe systems to meet the demand for the establishment and replacement of water infrastructure systems all over the world, from diagnosis and design to production, installation, and after-sales maintenance.

Housing Company

The company is a provider of residential housing in Japan. Houses manufactured by the Housing Company are marketed under the Sekisui Heim brand name. It also provides solar powered housing.

Strategic Alliances

Sekisui Chemical Co. Ltd. and Denki Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha would form a joint venture to produce polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) resin due to an expected increase in demand for automotive interlayer film in Asia. Sekisui Chemical and Denka would respectively hold 49% and 51% shares in the newly established venture. The new company would acquire the manufacturing facilities within Denka's Omi plant in Niigata prefecture, which produce 28,000 tonnes/year of PVA resin. The new venture would supply both producers with manufactured PVA resin product.
