Retail segment

The Retail segment markets food and other products in its stores. It operates neighborhood and regional stores offering a range of products, other stores offering a range of products with an emphasis on discount prices, and stores offering a range of kosher products for the ultra orthodox. As of December 31, 2007, the company had 228 stores covering a total area of approximately 513 thousand square meters.

Rental Real Estate segment

The company is also active in the rental real estate segment, both directly, through the rental of various types of real estate properties, including commercial centers and other assets, as well by means of investee companies that operate shopping malls and commercial centers, as follows: Israel Kanyonim, Ltd.; Shufersal Bailsol Hashkaot Ltd.; Merkaz Hakirya (Ashdod 1995) Ltd.; and Bay Heart Ltd. The total area of the rental space is 95.5 thousand square meters.
