PTT Public Company Limited operates the petroleum business. The Company has investments in subsidiaries, associates, and joint ventures that operate in petroleum exploration and production activities, natural gas operations, refining, oil marketing and international trading and petrochemical businesses. As at December 31, 2002, the Group has operated in 9 countries.

The Company’s subsidiaries include

PTT Exploration and Production Public Co., Ltd. and subsidiaries (PTTEP) incorporated in Thailand, engages in the petroleum exploration and production.

PTT Philippines, Inc. (PTTPI) incorporated in Philippines, engages in oil marketing.

PTT International Trading Pte., Ltd. (PTTT) incorporated in Singapore, engages in oil international trading.

Thai Olefins Co., Ltd. (TOC) incorporated in Thailand offers Petrochemical businesses.

PTT (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. (PTTCL) incorporated in Cambodia, engages in the oil marketing.

Joint venture:

The Company in 50% joint venture with Trans Thai – Malaysia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TTM (T)), and Trans Thai – Malaysia (Malaysia) Co., Ltd (TTM (M)) engages in the natural gas operations.

Significant Events

On July 15, 2008, PTT Public Co., Ltd. has introduced a high-density polyethyleneInnoplus brand to the Vietnamese polymer market.

General Motors Corporation is collaborating with PTT Public Co., Ltd. The collaboration is targeted to develop alternative fuels for vehicles. General Motors would act as a catalyst, a facilitator and a conduit to support the development and sharing of the technology to address energy and environmental issues confronting the Asean region. The automaker is also collaborating with the Thailand Automotive Industry Association to develop an alternative energy strategy for Thailand's automotive sector.

Ube Industries Ltd., in December 2008, entered into an agreement with PTT Public Company Limited, to study the future establishment of joint chemicals businesses in Thailand in segments such as coprolactam and synthetic rubber. For Ube Industries, the collaboration provides an avenue to secure supplies of raw materials and further expand its business operations in Thailand, as part of global operations for the manufacturing and marketing of chemical products.
