About Asia Fiber Public Company
Asia Fiber Public Company Limited, a Thai-Taiwanese joint venture, manufactures nylon-6 products. It produces various types of nylon chips, such as resins or pellets that are used in textile and industrial applications in making mono-filament, multifilament, and engineering plastic. The company produces nylon fully oriented yarn, partially oriented yarn, and fully drawn yarn that serve as raw material for further processes, such as texturing, knitting, weaving, and netting. It operates in Thailand, as well as exports to other countries. The company produces 47 tons of nylon chips, 33 tons of filament, 14 tons of textured yarn, and 100,000 yards of woven fabric daily.
Nylon Filament Yarn
Through melt-extrusion, Nylon FOY (Fully-Oriented Yarn), POY (Partially-Oriented Yarn) and FDY (Fully-Drawn Yarn) are produced. These products serve as raw material for further processes, such as texturing, knitting, weaving and netting.
Taffeta Fabric
Various types of fabric, namely taffeta, oxford, twill, satin, taslan, trilobal, as well as polyester taffeta are produced from different filaments. These fabrics are also finished with endless combinations of processes like plain dyed, resin finished, cire, wrinkle (washer), water repellent, water proof, down proof, acrylic, polyurethane and pigment, as well as inorganic coating.
Nylon Chip
Nylon Chip (resins or pellets) are produced from caprolactam via a computer-controlled continuous polymerization process. All type of nylon chips are available for textile and industrial applications in making mono-filament, multi-filament and engineering plastic.
Nylon Textured Yarn
Nylon Textured Yarn or Stretch Yarn is produced from filament yarn. Those produced from POY, called DTY or Draw-Texture Yarn, go through the dual process of drawing and texturizing under controlled temperature. Textured yarn can also be dyed to any specific color.
