About Merafe Resources
Merafe Resources Limited engages in the chrome mining and the beneficiation of chrome ore into ferrochrome in South Africa. The company owns Kenana UG2 beneficiation plant, a ferrochrome smelter at Boshoek in the North West province of South Africa.
The company also holds a 50% interest in the Kroondal resources; a 26% interest in the Marikana resources; a 20.5% interest in the Lion Ferrochrome smelting complex and the Mototolo UG2 plant situated in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa; a 20.5% interest in the EPL UG2 plant and the Rustenburg pelletiser in the North West province; and a 20.5% interest in the Bokamoso pelletising and sintering plant. The ferrochrome output of is marketed to the stainless steel industry.

The company holds a 50% interest in Merafe Coal (Pty) Limited, a joint venture with Sentula Mining Limited.
