P&C Insurance business

This business is responsible for the P&C insurance operations. The P&C Insurance Group's parent company, If P&C Insurance Holding Ltd (If), is located in Sweden. If subsidiaries provide insurance solutions and services in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Baltic countries. If is the major P&C insurer in the Nordic region, with approximately 3.7 million customers in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

If's business is divided into four business areas:

The Private business area is If's major business area, accounting for approximately half of the insurance premiums. The Private business area offers private customers household, homeowner, motor and accident insurance, as well as different kinds of supplementary insurances, such as travel, boat, forest and livestock insurance. The Private business area is the Nordic market leader with approximately 3 million customers.

The Commercial business area is the major company insurer in the Nordic countries. This business area accounts for approximately one third of If's insurance premiums and comprises approximately 350,000 customers. The Commercial business area offers insurances to companies covering property, liability, casualty and cargo.

The Industrial business area is the major insurer for industrial customers in the Nordic region and customers are Nordic companies with worldwide operations. This business area accounts for approximately one fifth of insurance premiums and has approximately 1,300 customers. The Industrial business area also has branch offices in the U.K., France, the Netherlands, Germany and Russia. If provides industrial customers with property, liability and cargo insurances, as well as casualty insurances.

The Baltic business area offers P&C insurances to both private and corporate customers. If is the second largest P&C insurer in the Baltic countries with approximately 350 000 customers.

Life Insurance business

The company’s life insurance operations are handled by Mandatum Life. Mandatum Life, a respected expert in money and life, offers private and corporate customers services in wealth management, rewards and risk insurance. The company's main area of operation is Finland, where it has 250,000 private customers and 25,000 corporate customers. In addition, Mandatum Life Insurance Baltic SE operates in all of the Baltic countries.

The focal point of Mandatum Life's insurance operations is wealth management and the sale of unit-linked insurance policies and risk insurance. Mandatum Life's subsidiary, Innova Services Ltd, is an expert in rewarding and pensions and Finland's major personnel fund expert.
