Vinyl Products
The Vinyl Products business segment comprises the activities of the chlorine chain, a fully integrated sector from salt electrolysis to PVC converting. The Vinyl Products business segment includes four Business Units: Chlorine and Soda, PVC (polyvinyl chloride), Vinyl Compounds (blends of PVC and additives like plasticizers, stabilizers, modifiers and colorants), Pipes and Profiles (Alphacan) (pipes, window profiles, siding, shutters, etc.).
Industrial Chemicals
The Industrial Chemicals business segment comprises various chemical intermediate sectors. It operates through five Business Units: Acrylics (acrylic acid and esters, oxo alcohols, phthalic anhydride, superabsorbents, and PVC plasticizers); PMMA and Methacrylics (Altuglas International) (PMMA granules, cast and extruded sheets); Thiochemicals (mercaptans, methylmercaptan and derivatives, thioglycolic acid and esters; amines, oxygenated solvents, and rubber additives); Fluorochemicals (hydrochlorofluorocarbon and hydrofluorocarbon fluorine derivatives); Hydrogen Peroxide (hydrogen peroxide, sodium chlorate and perchlorate, hydrazine hydrate and derivatives).
Performance Products
With industrial facilities on three continents, in North America, Europe and Asia, the Performance Products business segment serves its markets on a global scale. It is also integrated within the company's other activities. This business segment comprises three Business Units: Technical Polymers (polyamide 11 and 12, specialty polyamides, PVDF, and functional polyolefins); Specialty Chemicals (CECA) (surfactants, adsorption and filter aids, molecular sieves, diatomite, activated carbon, perlite); Functional Additives (organic peroxides, polymerization initiators for plastics, curing agents for rubber, and hardeners for polyester resins, impact modifiers, heat stabilizers and process aids for PVC, coating additives for glass, and anti-fouling agents for marine paints, chemical catalysts).
