The company operates through five segments: Consumer Business Unit (CBU), Enterprise Business Unit (EBU), Technology & Wholesale (TEC&W), International Carrier Services (ICS), and Staff and Support (S&S).
CBU
This segment sells voice products and services, and Internet and television services on fixed and mobile networks to residential customers and small offices, as well as offers ICT services primarily in the Belgium market.
EBU
This segment sells ICT services and products to medium enterprises and major companies. These ICT solutions, including telephone services, are marketed primarily under the company’s and Telindus brands, on both the Belgian and international markets.
TEC&W
This segment centralizes various network and information technology services and costs; and provides services to CBU and EBU, as well as engages in selling these services to other telecom and cable operators.
ICS
This segment engages in the international carrier activities.
S&S
This segment brings together various horizontal functions (human resources, finance, legal, strategy and corporate communication), internal services and real estate supporting the company’s activities.
History
The company was founded in 1930. It was formerly known as Belgacom SA and changed its name to Proximus PLC in June 2015.
