History

The company was founded in 1987 domiciled in the state of Qatar. It was formerly known as Qatar Public Telecommunications Corporation and changed its name to Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Q.S.C. in 1998. Further, the company changed its name to Ooredoo Q.S.C. in 2013 and then to Ooredoo Q.P.S.C. in June 2013.
