Indra Sistemas, S.A (the Parent Company or the company) is the parent company of the Indra Group or the Group. The principal activity of the Parent Company mainly consists of the design, development, integration and maintenance of systems, solutions and services based on intensive use of information technology. In 2002, the Parent Company has absorbed its solely owned subsidiary, NARVAL SERVICIOS INFORMATICOS, S.Lr.

The Company provides satellite control and monitoring systems, satellite navigation systems, telecommunications networks, image treatment, and remote detection; and security equipment and systems, as well as missile systems and advanced systems for traffic control. The company also offers maintenance and engineering services for systems in air defense and other related areas. Besides, the company offers systems for financial and insurance entities; and domestic and international financial and stock markets.

Through associated companies, Indra offers electronic, information technology, and communications systems primarily related to naval systems and submarine acoustics. In addition, it provides consultancy, design, and development of electronic business systems for management and commercialization of leisure products for Internet and electronic businesses. The company has operations in approximately 40 countries on the five continents.

Significant Events

Indra Sistemas SA. announced that it has signed a preliminary agreement with the Mubadala Development Company, to develop joint ventures for technology projects and products.

On May 27, 2009, Indra Sistemas, S.A. has signed an international partnership agreement with Cisco Systems Inc. Under the terms of the deal, the two partners would collaborate in the research and development of new technologies and services for the security and defence industries.
