Public Power Corporation S.A. and its subsidiaries engage in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity in Greece. It generates electricity from lignite, fuel oil, water, and natural gas, as well as from renewable energy sources.
The company owns 63 power generating stations; transmits electricity through approximately 12,017 kilometers high voltage power lines; and distributes electricity to consumers through approximately 217,200 kilometers of distribution network. It also has approximately 1,900 kilometers of fiber-optic network and approximately 200 kilometers of urban underground fiber optics network. The company also offers engineering, consulting, technical, and commercial services, as well as telecommunication services.
