Segments

The company operates in four segments: Storage & Logistics, Marketing, Malt and Oils.

The Storage & Logistics segment receives, transports, tests, and stores grains and other bulk commodities, as well as stores and exports/imports grains and other bulk commodities through ports. The company has grain storage and logistics network in eastern Australia, spanning regional storage facilities, rail and road operations, and bulk grain ports.

The Marketing segment is involved in the marketing of grain and agricultural products; and the operation of grain pools.

The Malt segment produces malt products; offers brewing inputs and other malting services to brewers and distillers; sells farm inputs; and exports malt.

The Oils segment is involved in the processing and crushing of oilseeds; supply of edible oils and feeds; and operation of bulk liquid port terminals, as well as provision of storage, packaging, transportation, and logistics services.

GrainCorp also has a 60% joint venture interest in Allied Mills, a major supplier of milled edible flour (for human consumption) in Australia. Allied Mills’ offering includes value-added products, such as frozen, par-baked artisan bread and other frozen bakery products, pre-mixes, batters and food coatings.
