Segments

The company operates through two segments, Industrial and Healthcare.

Industrial

This segment manufactures and markets hand and body protection solutions for a range of industrial applications. The company protects workers in almost every industry, including automotive, chemical, metal fabrication, machinery and equipment, food, construction and mining.

Healthcare

This segment manufactures and markets surgical and exam gloves for healthcare and industrial applications. Its customer base in the medical vertical includes acute care hospitals, emergency services, alternate care, dentistry, and veterinary clinics. This segment also distributes a range of single use gloves used in industrial applications, including chemical, food services, life sciences, electronics, and automotive after market.

Acquisitions

In 2017, the company acquired the gammaSupplies business from gammaSupplies LLC. The business is a provider of isolator and gauntlet gloves and prep mats for life science customers for use in clean room production environments. The acquisition would provide an opportunity for the company to be a full solution provider to various customers in the validated sterile needs segments.

Discontinued Operations

In September 2017, the company reported the closing of the sale of its Sexual Wellness business, followed by the company’s Brazillian condom business, Fabrica de Artefatos de Latex Blowtex Ltda in October 2017.
