GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft provides process technology for the food industry and for a range of other industries.

Divisions

The company operates in two divisions, Business Area Equipment and Business Area Solutions.

The Business Area Equipment division offers separators, valves, pumps, homogenizers, and refrigeration compressors, as well as process technology equipment for food processing and packaging applications; and automatic feeding systems, slurry engineering, and dairy parlor equipment.

The Business Area Solutions division provides process solutions for the dairy processing, brewing, food and beverages, pharma, and chemical industries.

History

The company was founded in 1881. It was formerly known as mg technologies ag and changed its name to GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft in 2005.
