Deutsche Post AG, through its subsidiaries, operates as a logistics company worldwide.

Divisions

The company operates in four divisions: mail, express, logistics, and financial services.

Mail division transports and delivers mail products; provides franking services and Philately products; and distributes advertising mail for business customers, as well as newspapers and magazines. This division also provides address and document management; and printing and lettershop services. Express division offers courier, express, and parcel services, as well as pan-European ground transport under the brand name ‘DHL’. Logistics division provides air and ocean freight, as well as customized logistics solutions. Financial Services division offers a range of banking services, including payments, deposits, retail and corporate banking, fund products, and investment securities services. This division also includes pension services and the retail outlet network.

Joint Venture

New Zealand Post Limited and Deutsche Post AG have formed a Australian courier business joint venture. Express Couriers Australia follows a similar arrangement in New Zealand between Deutsche Post's DHL Express unit and NZ Post. Express Couriers takes in six businesses throughout Australia, including three under NZ Post ownership.
