Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Limited engages in the manufacture and export of Polyester and related products in India. Its activities are organized into polyester and yarn segments. Polyester segment produces Polyester Filament Yarn, Polyester Staple Fibre, Chips and Draw Texturised Yarn. Yarn segment produces draw texturized yarn and trading of spun yarn.
The company operates a production plant near Nagpur, Maharashtra for the manufacture of 350,000 tpa of Polyester Fibres and Yarns, in technical collaboration with Toyobo, Japan and DuPont, USA, respectively.
Polyester segment
Polyester segment produces polyester staple fibre, polyester filament yarn, fully drawn yarn, and polyester chips. Polyester staple fibre can be blended with natural fibres, such as cotton and wool and synthetic fibres, such as rayon to produce polyester blended yarns on the conventional cotton spinning machines. Fully drawn yarns are suitable for direct twisting, warping, and weaving.
Yarn Segment
Yarn segment produces draw texturized yarn and trading of spun yarn. Draw texturized yarn is suitable for fabric end uses like outer/inner garments, skin-clinging garments, furnishings, and upholstery; and is used as a replacement of cotton and cotton blend yarns with low moisture content.
